#Problems

Before Facebook, you really needed to work hard to air your opinions publicly. Like write several hundred articles until you are blessed with a 150 word editorial. Now you can literally click an icon and change something from private to public and let the world know. Even when you don't, it still leaks out at times.

If you're someone who can't articulate their opinions well online and end up sounding somewhat bigoted or controversial, meme pages can get a hold of that screenshot and practically ruin your life. No one checks who or what you are, they just share and cuss away. Some even blame smartphones, social media and the digital age for such statuses or tweets.

The flipside of social media activism is straight out cyber-bullying, especially when it's a picture or a status of someone young who might have uninformed opinions. It might ruin someone's life or career and give them no chance to rectify their mistakes. Share carefully. Only dank memes can be trusted.
