SEU to host ICPC Dhaka Regional Onsite Contest

A meeting of the Executive Committee of ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest) Asia Regional 2019 - Dhaka Site hosted by Southeast University (SEU) was held recently. The meeting was chaired by the VC of SEU Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin. Contest Director Prof. Dr. Abul Lais MS Haque, Associate Contest Director Shahriar Manzoor, and the Conveners of sub-committees were present in the meeting.

The contest will take place on November 15-16, 2019 at main campus of SEU. It was declared in the meeting that the prize giving ceremony will take place on November 16 at Jamuna Future Park. State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak will be present as the chief guest. National Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury, eminent educationist Professor Muhammed Zafar Iqbal and NM Zeaul Alam, Senior Secretary, ICT Division will be present as special guests. Md. Rezaul Karim, Chairman, BOT, SEU Trust has also agreed to be present in the programme.

The chief judge of the contest will be Prof. M Kaykobad of BUET and the Judging Director will be Hasnain Heickal, Assistant Professor of University of Dhaka. The main sponsors of this event are ICT Division, SSL Wireless, and Divine IT Ltd. Other sponsors are Surecash, Datasoft Ltd, Samsung R&D, Ispahani Group, and Rits Browsers; Walton Digi-Tech Industries is the hardware partner.
