Clubs that should exist within your family

If your family had clubs like your college or university, things would have been a lot better. Think about it, a club is formed to serve a common purpose. Within your family, such clubs would allow your likeminded family members and other relatives bond better with one another as they set aside their differences and become united under the banner of a single goal. Not only can they enjoy themselves, but they can also stay clear of the others who don’t want their company during get-togethers.

MUN Club

Have you ever noticed how some of your family members always end up arguing about national and global affairs every time the world decides to bring them together for Eid? Take these people and put them in MUN club. This will make it easier for them to suggest ways to bring global peace and development that won’t matter. From talking about hardcore politics to arguing over the solutions of different social issues, when your family’s MUN club members take the floor, there is no stopping them.

Sports Club

There are always those members of the family who are diehard sports fans, mostly cricket. Criticising the national cricket team, discussing how the football federation should handle its operations, and occasionally watching a live sporting event, are just some of the many club based activities these members participate in. They themselves may have played sports at some point in their lives but now aren’t that bothered about it, just like Argentina’s national football team.

Gloating Club

For some, gloating is no longer a habit but a lifestyle. If you look closely at your family and relatives, you are bound to find a few faces with such a noteworthy personality. Wealth, social status, even their own children become part of the force that becomes the reason behind their pride. This is one of those clubs which is a must in every family as it will allow the rest of the family members to stay clear of their path when they get together and start talking.

Disappointment Club

It is one of those clubs where you can’t just sign up if you want to join. You have to be chosen in order to become a member of the disappointment club. All you have to do to be part of the group is become the family disappointment. Unemployed for less than a week, one bad academic year, unable to get yourself admitted into a public university, and cousins who are better than you in studies or life, are just some of the many disappointments that can get you a place in this club.

Debate Club

Kind of like the MUN club, but here, logic is of the least importance. Members squabble over the most unnecessary matters as their ultimate goal is not to prove a point, but to assert the fact that they are right and everyone else is wrong.

So, what are you waiting for? Appoint a president to each club and begin recruitment. The sooner you do, the sooner you can run away from your toxic relatives.
