AIUB arranges study tour of Bangladesh National Parliament House

Department of Law and MMC of American International University Bangladesh (AIUB) arranged a study tour of Bangladesh National Parliament House. A total of 45 students of Bangladesh Studies and Political Journalism (Department of Law and MMC) course were taken on the study tour on June 20, 2019 as part of their course work. The students were advised to acquire practical knowledge on the parliament, budget sessions, and political culture and submit a report to their respective course teachers.

On arrival at the Parliament House, students were received by the Deputy Secretary of Bangladesh Parliament Secretariat who briefed the team on parliament procedures and structures.  After observing the budget session for a while, the students moved to the Conference Room to participate in a Q&A session with Member of Parliament Md Faruk Khan MP, Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and former Commerce Minister. Farhana Afroz, Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Social Science (AIUB) accompanied the students.
