APP REVIEW

GAMEZEN

Platforms: iOS

Are you the sort of gamer who will comb through the entire library of a console and handpick several titles to play? Are you also bad at making lists? Well, GameZen is an app for you.

It has an enormous library of games to choose from, consoles ranging from SNES to PS4.

You are greeted with a simple user-friendly interface and a preloaded game library of a console. If you have a new gen console like the Wii U, you can always update the library.

After selecting the console where you'll be digging through its library, you can tick the games with the following: "Have Played", "Owned", "Want to Own". In this way, a huge list can get smaller and smaller with each redo. It could've put a progress report or another label like Finished.

For the free version, I haven't encountered requests to rate the app. This provides an irritation free experience. I did however; get ads after viewing a game. You can't really check the gameplay of any game but there is an unnecessary in built browser to help.

Like all iOS apps, this too comes with most of its redeeming features on its paid version. On the free version, you can only access one platform out of six, and you are stuck with it unless you reinstall it.

Note: If you are a multi platformer and have several games to play for each console, then you probably have more than enough money for the paid version.
