GAME REVIEW

99 PROBLEMS

Platform: Android and iOS

Fed up with the monotony of Clash of Clans and Subway Surfer? Need something more challenging? Download "99 Problems". This game can be quite frustrating to solve and will require attention and perseverance, and might even remind you of Flappy Bird.

The main objective of the game is for you, a square block, to avoid bumping into other square blocks. Sounds simple but it isn't. You need to constantly tap the screen to move your block upwards; else it will fall under gravity and end your game. Even at the slightest brush against another block, your block will explode. And it gets progressively difficult, with more than mere flying blocks hindering your navigation. It's pretty intuitive once you start playing, and follows some basic laws of physics.

Each level is called a "problem". The game starts at Problem 99 and ends when you have solved Problem 1. Also, you don't have to restart the game from the very beginning every time you die. You can always pick up where you left off.

The game's size is 12MB in Android and 21MB in iOS. I love its minimalist approach and friendly UI. The game itself, though quite difficult, is addictive. It's probably the type of game you'd play when stuck in traffic and have nothing better to do. I'd say give it a try, provided you are not one to give up easily.
