Daffodil International University inaugurates “Rowshan Ara Scholar Garden”

Rowshan Ara Scholar Garden, a hall built for female students at Daffodil International University (DIU) has been inaugurated. Rowshan Ara Begum, Member of the Board of Trustees of the university inaugurated the hall today on October 24, 2021 at DIU campus in Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia, Dhaka. Shahana Khan, Member, Board of Trustees, Professor Dr. Farhana Helal Mehtab, Associate Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science of DIU and hall officials, staff and students were present during inauguration.

The modern architectural hall with 10 floors has an accommodation capacity of 1000 students. Already 700 students are residing regularly. The hall provides all the latest facilities including WiFi, medical facilities, laundry, reading room, newspaper room, games room, TV room, 24-hour gas, water, CCTV security and more.

It may be mentioned that Rowshan Ara Begum is the mother as well as source of inspiration of Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, the founder and chairman of the Board of Trustees of DIU. Students of the hall were delighted to receive such a prominent and inspirational person among them and greeted her with flowers. Rowshan Ara Begum talked openly with the students about their studies, the environment of the hall, and spent a cordial time.
