Atish Dipankar University holds its 3rd convocation

The 3rd Convocation of Atish Dipankar University of Science & Technology (ADUST) was held on June 15, at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in Dhaka. 

The Minister of Education Dr Dipu Moni presided over the ceremony on behalf of the Honourable President & Chancellor. While Emirates Prof. Dr SS Mantha, Former Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Former President of the National Board of Accreditation, Government of India was present as the convocation speaker. The ceremony was also addressed by Liakat Ali Sikdar, Chairman, BoT, and ADUST VC Prof. Dr Md. Zahangir Alam.

Md. Atiqul Islam, Mayor, Dhaka North City Corporation, Prof. Dr Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Chairman, Bangladesh Accreditation Council, and Prof. Dr Biswajit Chanda, Member, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh were present as special guests. 

Dr Dipu Moni in her speech opined that private universities must take measures to remove all the barriers in respect of imparting quality higher education in their own interest. More sincere endeavours of the private universities are required to attain the desired goal. Congratulating the graduates, she urged upon them to work for the interest of the common people.  

More than 5000 students from different disciplines were conferred undergraduate and graduate degrees while 30 meritorious students received Chancellor, Vice Chancellor and Chairman (BoT) awards for their excellent results. 

All ADUST BoT Members, deans, department heads, faculty members, administrative staff, journalists, educationists, and VCs of different universities attended the convocation program.
