DIU Chairman attends GEC 2018 in Turkey

On April 16-19, 2018, the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) launched the Global Entrepreneurship Congress 2018 (GEC 2018) in Istanbul, Turkey and gathered thousands of entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, policymakers, and other startup champions from different countries to identify new ways of helping founders start and scale new businesses around the world. President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the delegates in the GEN Annual Meeting at GEC 2018 at the inaugural ceremony of the congress.

This year, Bangladesh had a very bold representation where Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil Family lead the Bangladesh delegation as the Managing Director. He was nominated by GEN President and Chair, Global Entrepreneurship Congress, Jonathan Ortmans. Dr. Khan was also invited as a speaker of a session titled "STEM + the Future of Work". It was a panel where Channmeta Kan, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Cambodia; Matthias Oschinski, MaRS Data Catalyst from Canada; Burak Aydin from Turkey; and Ebru Özdemir Limak of Investments Turkey participated. Arda Batu moderated the session.
