THE SIMPSONS, TAPPERD OUT

Platform : iOS, Android

The Simpsons: Tapped Out is a freemium mobile game based on the favourite American animated series.

The story follows that Homer Simpson being too busy playing an elf-related game on his "myPad" at work, neglects his workstation and accidentally causes a meltdown at the nuclear power plant, destroying Springfield completely. Left stranded, he is solely responsible for rebuilding Springfield and bringing back its town members. Homer is desperate to find other characters so that he can get them to rebuild and get back to his elf game. With the help of daughter Lisa, Homer rebuilds Springfield and brings back key sought out characters.

The players can, therefore, build their own versions of Springfield. It offers a variety of buildings that the player buys with an in-game purchase of "dollar", while buying premium items with real-world cash via donuts, a reference to Homer Simpson's passion for donuts within the series. The characters are "tapped" to perform tasks for extra points to advance with the game and earn extra money to save up for purchases.

The key feature that makes the game so appealing is its very accurate and humorous references from the series itself: Homer yells "D'oh!" every time he is annoyed or frustrated. Each character has their set of quirky signature punch lines.

Every time a task is completed, Homer notifies you saying "Better them than me!" A Wi-Fi connection is required to play this super addictive game. Worth a try.
