APP REVIEW

The Audio Alternative

Platform: iOS, Android

Finding a genuinely good free music player is annoyingly difficult for music aficionados. This is where JetAudio comes to the rescue.

There are two versions: a free, basic version and a paid, "plus" version. The basic version is quite user-friendly, with access to a 10-band equalizer, a bass knob, a stereo image widening knob, reverb, automatic gain control and a pitch shifter. You've also got the HD audio enhancers if you feel like your ears aren't happy enough. However, these are only in effect for twenty seconds and shut down automatically. The basic version also comes with ads (keep the data turned off), but both these problems are solved through purchase.

Apart from all this, it's more or less the standard things we've come to expect from modern music players. You'll be able to set your own preferences. Music is categorised by artists, albums, songs, folders, playlists and genres. You can switch mono audio, turn on crossfade, along with tons of more playback functions, including gapless playback which is slightly more uncommon. And of course, purchasing the "plus" version enhances your experience further.

In any case, if you feel like your current player isn't satiating your musical side enough, I would recommend checking this worthy app out.
