APP REVIEW

Secret Photo Stash

Platform: Android

Everyone probably has photos they want to hide. It could be pictures of your crush or that one obscure and creepy meme that you found funny but if anyone else were to see it, it's solid evidence to throw you in jail. Vaulty is a photo-lock app that can act as a very good remedy to these issues.

The app is simple: you open up an account of sorts, set up a password and bam - you're good to go. You have the option of backing up photos online in case something goes wrong and your photos get deleted. It's also inconspicuous; as you can see from the picture provided, it's just a square with a 'V' on it, easy to skim over with the multitude of apps on a phone. However, on the off-chance that someone who ends up with access to your phone sees the app and attempts to infiltrate your photos, the app takes a photo of whoever enters your password incorrectly.

That's pretty much it, really. Apart from small drawbacks such as ads and difficulty in finding the photos you'd like to hide, this makes for a good, trustworthy secret photo stash.

Now, you might be asking me, "What's the point of this app when Snapchat's 'My Eyes Only' feature exists?" Well, I had no idea that feature was there.
