Procrastinate on Mars

Platforms: iOS, Android

When a game is easy to pick up and fun to play with just the right aesthetics, you know you just got yourself a new buddy for leisure times. Mars: Mars from Pomelo Games is a great example of how the simplest gameplay can be challenging and equally engaging.

You play as an explorer on Mars sent there by MarsCorp. You are given a jetpack for exploration but you can only move from one launch pad to another. Also, your jetpack has limited fuel. You start your flight with a tap and control your direction by pressing the left or right side of the screen for the respective jets. You have to press both sides for reducing speed while landing because without a soft landing you'll be blown to pieces.

You can skip over launch pads if you're tactical and brave enough. During jumps you'll be given coins to collect and black holes to avoid. You can also earn coins by watching ads or completing certain goals. Coins are needed for the best part of the game - character unlocking. You start as Max but there are 29 other characters who can be sent from Earth if you pay enough coins and wait a few hours for them to arrive. The great thing about new characters is that each one sets a unique environment on the planet, further enchanting you with the game's mesmerizing graphics. Don't forget to unmute while playing if you want a therapeutic audio session.

You can also take selfies of your character on Mars, because why not.
