Nissan Silvia S15 by Welly

What is it?

The last of the sleek, RWD, excellent looking and affordable sport coupes from Nissan. It's a cult favourite, being extremely mod friendly for drift and time attack. The car is also a stance favorite. What is Welly offering? In 1:24 scale, the one pictured is the drift spec RS-R version. You can also have one in plain red or white, without the spoiler.

Pros: There is excellent detail inside with fully replicated roll cage, additional dials on the dash albeit without gauge faces and a stripped rear parcel shelf showing what the metal framework would be really like. The seats have five point seatbelts attached. That's cool. Pop the hood and you are greeted with a SR20DET with a massive turbo. You can make out some neat details like intake tubing and a strut tower bar. Also, the front and rear sport very neat tow hooks.

Cons: Fitment isn't as great as I have come to expect from Welly. Front bumper pops out a bit from the headlights. Front ride height is a tad bit taller than the rear. And the engine is not a separate unit but a single molded piece  that lacks depth. Also, the real RS-R car has a different engine.

Verdict: If you love the S15, get it. It's well worth the price with plenty of detail. Look around the FB die-cast groups. These are selling for 1500-2500tk depending on your source.
