Sheikh Altaf made secretary to president

In a reshuffle today, senior water resources secretary Sheikh Altaf Ali was made the secretary to President Abdul Hamid.

The government transferred president’s secretary Manjur Hossain to the Local Government Division (LGD), the public administration ministry said in a gazette notification this afternoon.

Expatriate's welfare and overseas employment secretary Dr Zafar Ahmed Khan was transferred to the water resources ministry while housing and public works secretary Dr Khandaker Shawkat Hossain to the expatriate's welfare and overseas employment ministry.

Md Golam Robbani, acting secretary to the LGD, was made the acting secretary to the housing and public works ministry.

In addition, the government reshuffled 14 additional secretaries and six officials with joint secretary rank, the public administration ministry said in separate gazette notifications.
