The Ways of Steel

In conversation with Mohammad Mohsin, Chairman of Mohsteel

In the world of construction business, every element is important. From the grains of sands to the steels, every element is considered as valuable as the others. The industry might not get the same lime light as real estate companies, but they do their work for which we are able to live in high rises. As we live in the world of technology, business of construction is also modifying itself to serve the purpose. More and more companies are being created to contribute in this industry. But some of them has contributed from the very beginning and now expanding its new branches for the new era.

Moh Steel limited, a sister concern of Rahim Steel has recently opened up its doors for innovative contribution to the construction industry, and they want their biggest strength to be technology. The European technology they uses can produce 500,000 MT/Y with a varied product range of 8mm to 40mm TMT Bars. "We can't escape technology. No matter how much one tries, the old school process is dead. It is time to adapt and we are aiming on just doing that," says Mohammad Mohsin, Chairman of Moh Steel. It is also a big challenge as the industry is lacking of technological support. "Though the authority is pro technology, we still face lack of encouragement from them. The machines and we need cannot be bought without government's help and it is high time they set their priority towards this industry."

As steel is a growing industry in our country and has enormous potential, it is high time the industry took a more consumer friendly strategy and Moh Steel sets to do just that. "The industry have been in the low light for quite some time. We don't really have the one on one relationship with consumers rather most of the time it's a third party. It's time this is changed," says Mohsin. "We want to work not mostly as a company who sells rods and steels but more as a consultant to our clients. The elements used in construction has a chemistry with one another. We want our clients to understand that as clearly as possible."

With proper knowledge and the support of technology, Moh Steel wants to set the path of a new era of construction business. As it is a growing industry they think with the proper support from the authorities and consumers, the industry will sustain for a long haul.
