The cabinet today approved the draft of Supreme Court Judges' (remuneration and privileges) (amendment) Act-2014 introducing a provision of providing SC judges special allowances equivalent to half of their basic salary.
The approval came in a cabinet meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair, Cabinet Secretary M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan told reporters during a press briefing at the secretariat.
The cabinet also approved a draft of Youth Organisation (registration and control) Act-2014 in principle.
During the meeting, the cabinet members also expressed satisfaction over the quarterly report on implementation of their decisions.
