''Samrat-er Chhobi'' to air on BTV

Talented poet and playwright Raju Alim has made a new TV play based on writer and Language Movement veteran Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury's short story “Somrat-er Chhobi”.

The special TV play, will go on air on BTV on February 7 at 9pm.

The story of the play zooms in on an aristocratic family of a mufassil. Osman Chowdhury is a descendant of the family that has been carrying out the traditional legacy of the family from the British era. Unlike his father Osman Chowdhury, an educated Mansur Ali holds modern outlook. A conflict between father and son along with some amusing incidents persists in the family. Eventually the modern approach triumphs over.    

The cast of the play includes Khairul Alam Sobuj, Mahbuba Rezanur, Hafizur Rahman Suruj, Raju Alim, Shanarei Devi Shanu and others.
