West Indian powerhouse Chris Gayle is in pursuit of Twenty20 glory by becoming the first batsman ever to score 10,000 runs in the format.

Chris Gayle has smashed 9975 T20 runs playing for West Indies and different leagues. He has also 18 centuries and 60 fifties registered to his name, reports Dunya News.

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s foreign recruit Chris Gayle is 25 runs short of ten thousand, and it will be fitting if the West Indian brings up his 10,000th T20 run in the match against Kings XI Punjab today. He has smashed 797 runs against them, the most by any batsman against a single IPL opponent and has scored two of his five IPL hundreds against Punjab as well.
