Rohingyas in Bhasan Char being alerted on Cyclone Yaas

Authorities have started campaigning in Bhasan Char this morning as part of preparations for Cyclone Yaas.

Rohingya leaders (majhi), members of various law enforcing agencies and volunteers were going door to door, asking Rohingya refugees to go to shelter centres if situation worsens due to Cyclone Yaas, reports our staff correspondent from spot.

Special arrangements are being made to move the elderly to shelters.

Volunteers are heard announcing on loud speaker to be cautious but not to panic.
