Over 1,152 Rohingyas have left Cox's Bazar refugee camp for Chattogram's Patenga as they are set to be relocated to Noakhali's Bhasan Char.

This would be the 4th batch of refugees to be relocated to the island, reports our Cox's Bazar correspondent.

Buses carrying Rohingyas left the temporary transit point set up at the field of Ukhia Degree College around 12:00pm today amid security.

Mohammad Shamsuddoza, additional RRRC (Refugee Rehabilitation and Repatriation Commissioner), said only those who expressed their interest in the relocation are being shifted to Bhasan Char.

Preparation has been taken to relocate the fourth batch of Rohingyas -- around 3,500 -- today and tomorrow.
