BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will visit Cox's Bazar on Sunday to see the condition of the Rohingyas, who have fled to Bangladesh to escape persecution in Myanmar.

Khaleda will leave the capital for Chittagong on road on Saturday morning (October 28) and spend the night at Chittagong Circuit House, BNP chairperson's media wing member Syrul Kabir Khan told The Daily Star this afternoon.

She will then start for Cox's Bazar on Sunday (October 29). After spending the night at Cox's Bazar Circuit House, she will visit four Rohingya camps -- Balukhali-1, Balukhali-2, Boalmari and Jamtali -- in Ukhia upazila of Cox's Bazar on (Monday) October 30, he said.

The BNP chairperson will also distribute relief materials among the Rohingyas.

The party top leaders, including its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, are likely to accompany Khaleda Zia during the visit, said Syrul Kabir Khan.

Khaleda will return to Dhaka on October 31, he added.
