Restrictions violated, shopkeepers dodge mobile court in Khulna on day 4 of ‘strict lockdown’

People in Khulna were seemingly not abiding by the rules of "strict lockdown" on the fourth day despite an alarming number of infections in the city.

Although the main points of the city are under the surveillance of law enforcers, people were seen roaming around at several market places, ignoring health guidelines.

Most shop owners and employees in the areas were seen outside closed shops waiting for customers. They were dodging the mobile courts by letting customers in and closing the shutters again.

Our local correspondent witnessed this scenario while visiting several places including Dakbangla Moar, Clay Road, Old Jashore Road, Kheladhula Market, Nixon Market, Picture Palace Moar, Helatola and Sir Iqbal Road of the city.
