Reshuffle in civil admin

In a reshuffle in civil administration, the government today reassigned duties of six secretaries, four additional secretaries and two joint secretaries.  

Forest Secretary Md Abdur Rob Hawlader has been made Chairman of Land Appeal Board, Religious Secretary Kazi Habibul Awal was made foreign secretary.

Acting Science Technology Ministry Secretary AKM Amir Hossain made secretary of Public Service Commission Secretariat and Defence Secretary Md Asaduzzaman made Science and Technology Secretary.

Chairman of Land Appeal Board Mohammad Shafiul Alam was transferred to the Land Ministry as secretary while Secretary of Public Service Commission Secretariat Md Babul Hasan has been made Religious Secretary.

Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority executive member Md Kaikobad has been appointed as the Dhaka Transport Coordination Board’s executive director, director of Family Planning Directorates Ganesh Chandra Sarker has been promoted to the post of the director general while Additional Secretary (OSD) Md Mizanur Rahman has been made an executive member of Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority.

Additional secretary of the Local Government Division Juena Aziz was made director general of Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit of the Local Government division.

Two joint secretaries were given posting.

Joint Secretary (OSD) Md Mofazzal Hossain has been made director of the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation while Joint Secretary (OSD) Abdur Rahim Bhuiyan director of Jatiya Krira Parishad.

The changes are part of the new government’s decision to reorganise the Prime Minister Office (PMO) and the Bangladesh Secretariat.
