RU to hold honours, masters exams in Jan, halls to remain closed

Rajshahi University authorities today decided to hold the honours and masters examinations, postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic, from January 2, 2021.

The decision was taken during a meeting of RU academic council chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof M Abdus Sobhan, confirmed Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Ananda Kumar Saha.

The departments which started honours and masters exams of students of sessions 2015-16 and 2014-15 respectively but could not finish and those which finished the courses but couldn't start the exams, can hold the examinations starting from January 2 following the health guidelines, RU authorities decided.

However, the residential halls will remain closed in order to prevent increased risk of Covid-19.

The authorities have also decided to cancel the upcoming winter vacation, the Pro VC added.
