Prime Bank stays with BCL

The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has retained the Premier Bank Ltd as the title sponsors of the Bangladesh Championship League, which gets underway from Wednesday at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium.
The Premier Bank, who had sponsored previous two editions, will provide Tk 25 lakh this time, five lakhs more than the previous time. The second-tier professional football league will be held in three phases like the first-tier professional football league.
BFF senior vice president Abdus Salam Murshedy disclosed it at a press conference at the BFF House yesterday where Premier Bank's deputy managing director Dewan Anwarul Latif was present.
The seven participating teams -- Rahmatganj MFS, Farashganj SC, Wari Club, Victoria Club, Agrani Bank, Badda Jagarani Sangha and Arambagh KS -- will play in three separate venues – Kamalapur, Manikganj and Gazipur/Tangail and top two teams will advance to the Bangladesh Premier League while the bottom team will be relegated.
