DPS STS School Dhaka contributes daily necessities to ‘Families for Children’

Recently, DPS STS School Dhaka has organised a campaign called 'Alor Dhara' under their Community Club, which allowed their students to distribute daily necessities to an orphanage named 'Families for Children' at Uttara. It was an interactive event where DPS STS students got the opportunity to socialise with the children from the orphanage.

A group of DPS STS student volunteers under this project had arranged to collect old books and newspapers from their friends and neighbours; later, they sold those to gather the donation money to buy daily necessities for the children of that home.

The students went to the orphanage on 22nd March 2021 and distributed many daily necessities to them. The orphanage authority showered them with appreciation for donating the necessities to the orphans who were in dire need of those. In this home, there were some mentally challenged children living alongside the other children.  Not only these kind-hearted DPS STS students took care of their daily needs but also considered to bring smiles on the orphan faces by offering candies and cookies as treats.

In a friendly chat later, the children from the orphanage shared their future-plans with the students, where many of them expressed their wish to help others when they grow up. Most of them also dream of opening their own orphanage and desire to aid others the way they have been taken care of. Thus, this campaign has taught these tender minds how important it is to share their care and happiness with others in the society.

DPS STS School Dhaka plans to carry out more projects for the society to ensure that students learn the significance of social solicitude in the community and grow up to contribute to their country in varied ways.
