AIUB organized “Folklore 2021 – Symphony of the World” to celebrate International Mother Language Day 2021
The Office of Student Affairs, American International University- Bangladesh (AIUB) organized a virtual international celebration of folk musical performances from institutions across the globe titled "Folklore 2021 – Symphony of the World". On the occasion of the International Mother Language Day 2021, this unique event, one of the first of its kind, showcased musical performances (songs and dances) that honor the heritage of folk music across borders and transcending generations, on the 21st of February 2021 from 2 pm onwards on Zoom.
"Folklore 2021 – Symphony of the World" commemorated the incredible rhythms of young talents from across the globe, both traditional to their native tongues and contemporary originals/covers of their choice Folklore showcased around 30 musical performances by the students of 17 institutions from 10 countries around the world, in celebration of the diversity that does not divide, but unites. In the chaotic turmoil that we are all going through today, harmony is crucial to get us through it, now more than ever.
