Nasim was arrested from his Tantipara house in the city around 12midnight today, and was released around 3:00am after showing his bail papers in the case, Ali Ahmed, general secretary of BNP Sylhet city unit, told our Sylhet correspondent.

Selim Miah, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, confirmed the development to The Daily Star.

Ali Ahmed, also the district coordinator of Jatiya Oikyafront, alleged that the law enforcers are conducting raids at the houses of all BNP leaders and activists every night and harassing their family members to refrain its candidates from the election campaign.
