Pallabi blast: Arrest order for BNP leader Rizvi, 7 others

A Dhaka court today issued arrest warrant against BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Rizvi Ahmed and seven others in a case filed for exploding bomb in Pallabi area last year.

After accepting the charges against 17 accused including the eight, Judge (in-charge) of the Metropolitan Session Judge’s Court Ruhul Amin passed the order.

BNP leaders including Habibun-un-Nabi Sohel, Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, Maruf Kamal Khan Sohel, Azizul Bari Helal, Syeda Asifa Ashrafi Papia are among the accused in the case.

The court asked law enforcers to submit a report on August 23 on execution of the arrest warrant.

According the prosecution, a group of supporters of BNP-led 20-party alliance blasted bombs in front of Islamia High School in Pallabi area of Dhaka on January 27, 2015.
