Pabna BCL man killed in clash with AL activists

An alleged activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League was killed during a clash with Awami League activists in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna this afternoon.

Deceased Badhan, 24, was a union-level worker of the BCL, reports our correspondent quoting Additional Superintendent of Police Siddiqur Rahman.

The clash took place between two groups -- one led by AL activist Kalam Hossain Mithu while another by BCL man Milon Khandamar -- around 1:00pm following a rivalry over establishing supremacy over Muladuli Bazar, the ASP said.

Both the groups exchanged fire during the clash.
