Speaker demands for forming commission to find out conspirators of Bangabandhu murder

Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury has demanded immediate formation of a commission to find out the perpetrators who were behind the conspiracy of killing Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and responsible for rehabilitating the killers.

“Remaining uncompromising to the question of freedom of people and realising their rights, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had struggled unto his death. He had presented independence of the country to the Bangalee people by his leadership with unrestrained courage,” she said.

The JS speaker placed the demand while speaking as chief guest to a meeting organised in Dhaka marking the 44th death anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and observing the National Mourning Day.

Peshajibi Somonnoy Parishad (Professionals Coordination Council) arranged the meeting at the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) auditorium on Tuesday.

Peshajibi Somonnoy Parishad’s President Advocate AFM Mesbahuddin presided over the meeting where Attorney General Mahbubey Alam, Dhaka University’s former vice chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique, President of Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad Professor Dr Iqbal Arslan, SCBA President AM Aminuddin, Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor MP, journalist leaders Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul and Omar Faruk, Parishad’s Organizing Secretary Advocate Motaher Hossain Saju, Advocate Rabiul Alam Budu and Advocate Azhar Ullah Bhuiyan, among others, spoke.
