Jatiya Oikyafront will again write to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina tomorrow for holding talks with the newly formed alliance to discuss over the upcoming general election.

The decision was taken tonight at a meeting of alliance’s leaders at the chamber of Gono Forum President Kamal Hossian in Motijheel.

“We will send a letter to the prime minister tomorrow morning requesting her to hold small-scale talks with us,”, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said after emerging from the meeting.

Top brass of the newly floated alliance held the meeting to device the next course of programmes to hold the next general election in light of its seven-point demand.

The meeting began around 7:00pm, a top leader of the alliance told The Daily Star.

Nagoric Oikya Convener Mahmudur Rahman Mannan and other rank and file of the election-oriented alliance took part in the meeting.

After holding talks with the prime minister on November 1, the top leaders of the alliance held such meeting for the first time.

Earlier in the day, the alliance submitted a letter to the Election Commission urging it not to announce the schedule for the 11th parliamentary election until end of the ongoing dialogue.
