Bangladesh Hindu-Bouddha-Christian Oikya Parishad threatens to boycott Rangpur-by-polls

Threatening to boycott Rangpur-3 by-polls, Bangladesh Hindu-Bouddha-Christian Oikya Parishad today urged the Election Commission to change the date of the by-elections as October 5 is the second day of Dugra Puja.

A delegation of the Oikya Parishad handed over a memorandum of understanding to the Election Commission in this regard this afternoon, according to a press release issued to media.

Dr Nimchandra Bhowmik, Kajol Debnath, Advocate Rana Das Gupta and Monindro Kumar Nath were among the team members.
