HT Imam laid to rest

HT Imam, the lifelong bureaucrat-turned-adviser to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, was laid to rest at the Banani Graveyard in Dhaka this evening.

He was buried around 6:00pm with state honour.

Imam breathed his last around 1:15am today at the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka at the age of 82.

He had been suffering from kidney-related complications and was admitted to CMH some two weeks ago. His condition, however, started deteriorating on Tuesday, according to Awami League sources.
