ACC sues ex leader of Jubo League Khaled, contractor GK Shamim

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today filed two separate cases against expelled Organising Secretary of Jubo League Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan and Contractor GK Shamim and his mother for amassing wealth beyond their known source of income.

ACC's Public Relations Officer (PRO) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said the commission filed the case against Khaled for amassing about Tk 5.58 crore illegally.

Meanwhile, another case was filed against GK Shamim and his mother for amassing Tk 297 crore illegally, the official said.

Jubo League on September 20 expelled its Dhaka South Organising Secretary Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan, who was arrested for running a casino, for breaching the organisation’s discipline and his involvement in anti-social activities.
