13 Jamaat men including Narayanganj chief held

Police today detained 13 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami including its Narayanganj city chief and general secretary allegedly for plotting subversive activities.

Narayanganj city Jamaat chief Maulana Moinuddin Ahmed, general secretary Abdul Quaium and 11 other activists were detained when they were holding a meeting at the chief’s residence in Fatullah around 11:00pm, our local correspondent reports.

Officer-in-Charge of Fatulla Model Police Station Kamal Uddin confirmed the arrests.
