BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia offered fateha at the grave of her younger son Aarafat Rahman Koko at Banani graveyard in Dhaka this afternoon on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat.

BNP chief left her Gulshan residence around 5:25pm and reached Banani graveyard, where she stayed more than 20 minutes, Syrul Kabir Khan, a staff of BNP chief's media wing, told The Daily Star.

The former premier went to the graveyard with close relatives and party leaders and offered Fatiha and doa, Syrul Kabir said.

Khaleda Zia is on her way to visit the grave of her husband late president Ziaur Rahman at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, the BNP staff added.

Koko died of heart failure at his rented house in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia on January 24.
