Khaleda to appear for graft hearing tomorrow

BNP Chief Khaleda Zia will appear before the court tomorrow for the hearing of two graft cases, a close aide of the former prime minister said today.

She is scheduled to reach the court around 11:00am, Shamsuddin Didar, an official of BNP chief Khaleda's press department told The Daily Star.

Khaleda is slated to continue delivering her self defence in Zia Charitable and Zia Orphanage Trust graft cases tomorrow before a special court in Bakhshibazar.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case on July 3, 2008 accusing Khaleda, her elder son Tarique Rahman and four others for misappropriating over Tk 2.10 crore that was received as grants for orphans via a foreign bank.
