JCD chief on 16-day fresh remand

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) President Rajib Ahsan was remanded for 16 days in eight cases filed over arson attacks and vandalism in Dhaka this year.

All the cases were filed between January and March this year and all of them with Paltan Police Station.

Earlier on July 29, separate Dhaka courts granted police to take Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal President Rajib Ahsan for eight-day questioning in custody.

Rajib and five of his associates were sent to jail after police produced them before a court in Patuakhali in connection with a case filed for possessing yaba tablets on July 20.
