Inu’s remarks ridiculous: Quader

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today came down heavily on Hasanul Haq Inu, president of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), for his remarks that AL would not be able to return to power in thousand years without the help of other parties.

“Yesterday Mr Inu exploded a bomb. We will discuss it in our 14-party alliance meeting,” said Quader, also road transport and bridges minister.

He was addressing a programme at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) of the Dhaka University this afternoon.

Earlier on Wednesday at a programme in Kustia, Inu, also Information Minister of the 14-party alliance government, said, “Awami League will not be able to come to power even in thousand years without the help of other parties.”

“You may have 80 paisa, but you are not owner of one taka. You will not get power until having one taka,” Quader further said.

Meanwhile, addressing a press conference at his secretariat office today, Inu lauded Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina saying Hasina has showed her time-befitting and statesman-like decision by forming the 14-party grand alliance.
