Ivy pouring black money: Shakhawat

BNP-backed mayor candidate for Narayanganj, Shakhawat Hossain Khan today alleged that his rival candidate from Awami League Selina Hayat Ivy is pouring black money to influence the election as she knows people will not vote for her.

Ivy knows that people will vote for BNP and that is why she is pouring black money to, Shakhawat said while campaigning in Ukilpara in Narayanganj city.

“She is a resident of New Zealand. Her husband is a citizen of New Zealand. She came here leaving her citizenship to contest in the elections,” Shakhawat alleged at the public gathering.

He called up on the Election Commission to take steps to prevent any unlawful influence by ruling party lawmakers in the election that is slated for December 22.

Tabid Awal, convener of Dhaka city (north) unit BNP, party central leaders and district level activists and supporters were present at the place.
