Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad today said his “doubts” whether the upcoming election will be held are now cleared and his party is ready for the polls.

“There is no doubt about the election any longer,” Ershad said while inaugurating the party’s digital campaign programme for the 11th parliamentary elections at his Banani office.

“Jatiya Party is fully prepared for the election. We will contest in all 300 constituencies if BNP does not participate in the polls. And if BNP joins the elections, then we will have other plans,” he added.

At a Jatiya Party rally on October 20, Ershad said there is no atmosphere for polls at present and it is not clear whether the election will be held though his party is ready for the race.

The nomination board of JP will be formed within a few days, said Ershad.

“Eligible candidates will be given nomination after taking their interviews,” he added.

JP’s Secretary General Ruhul Amin Hawlader, Presidium members Sunil Suvho Roy, SM Foysal Chisty, among others, were present at the programme.

What is digital campaign programme?

The Jatiya Party’s activities will be placed before 4.5 crore people every day through the digital platform campaign.

Around 40 IT experts will work in three shifts round the clock.
