BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today secured bail in a case filed over the party’s anti-government road blockade in Dhaka in 2012.

Eighth Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Abul Kashem passed the order and set August 28 as the date for hearing the charges in the case filed by police.

Paltan police sued Fakhrul in this case, filed under explosives act, for violent demonstration in Dhaka during the party’s anti-government move in 2012.
