BNP’s Aman, Aazam step down from posts

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s advisers Amanullah Aman and Ahmed Aazam Khan have stepped down from their local posts.

Aman stepped down from the post of general secretary of Dhaka district BNP unit while Aazam from president of Tangail district unit.

Last night, they submitted letters to Khaleda.

Last night, they submitted letters to Khaleda. In the new committee of BNP announced on September 6, Khaleda made Aman a member of her advisory council while Aazam as a vice chairman. 

Earlier another BNP senior leader Md Shahjahan resigned from Noakhali district BNP unit president post as he was made a vice chairman of the party.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also stepped down from the post of the party’s Thakurgaon district unit president as he was made BNP’s secretary general.

BNP in its council that held March 19 amended its charter incorporating a provision that one leader will get only one post.
