BNP to distribute leaflets March 1

BNP will distribute leaflets among people across the country on March 1 demanding unconditional release of the party Chairperson Khaleda Zia.

“We will distribute leaflets with BNP’s statements on March 1 across the country,” Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, senior joint secretary general of the party, told journalists at a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan office today.

Rizvi alleged that the government is hatching conspiracy to cling to the power and Khaleda Zia was sent to jail as part of that conspiracy.

BNP has been observing various protest programmes, except for hartal and blockade, since Khaleda Zia landed in jail in the Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case on February 8.

The party observed a token hunger strike, formed a human chain, staged sit-in programme, submitted memorandum to DC offices, and held protest rallies, along with other programmes.
