Bablu appointed special assistant to JP chief

Jatiya Party (JP) Presidium Member Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu has been appointed as the special assistant to the party chairman.

The decision was announced through a press release signed by Sunil Shuvo Roy, press secretary of JP Chairman HM Ershad.

The post was not mentioned in the party's charter, but party Chairman Ershad created the post using the power vested upon him, according to the release.

On January 19, Ershad removed Bablu from the post of secretary general for the alleged negligence in discharging his duties and replaced him with Ruhul Amin Hawlader.
