Ashraf expects AL council to offer efficient leadership

Awami League General Secretary and Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam today expressed hope that the upcoming party council would elect stronger and more efficient leadership reflecting people's expectations.

"The people have kept an eye closely on our upcoming council . . . we believe it to elect strong and efficient leaderships," he told journalists after visiting the council venue at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital.

Syed Ashraf said the preparedness were afoot to stage the council in a befitting manner while the event by now generated a festive mood among the people.

"Our commitments to run the country will be materialised through the smooth holding of this national council," he said.

AL Presidium Member Engineer Mosharraf Hossain, joint general secretaries Mahabub-Ul-Alam Hanif and Jahangir Kabir Nanak, organizing secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, agriculture and cooperative secretary Dr Abdur Razzak, labour affairs secretary Habibur Rahman Siraj , information and research secretary Advocate Afzal Hussain and central executive committee member Enamul Haque Shameem, among others, accompanied the party general secretary.
