BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia today came down heavily on the prime minister for carrying out election campaign across the country in the name of inauguration of the government’s development projects.

“You (Hasina) are seeking votes in favour of boat. Can’t you understand that your boat has sunk off?  No one will be able to rescue it,” Khaleda said while addressing an iftar party hosted by BNP-led 20-party alliance in Dhaka this evening.

Khaleda also blasted the prime minister for her “incapability to run the country properly” and said no welfare of the country is possible by the prime minister.

Reiterating her demand for holding the next general election under a supportive government, Khaleda called up on the prime minister to bring back democracy in the country through a transparent and credible election.

“Hasina’s topple is a must. Otherwise, we will not allow her to hold any election in the country,” Khaleda also a former prime minister said.

Expressing her optimism that the next general election will be held under the supportive government, Khaleda said her party will win in the election and will fulfill the commitments given in the “Vision 2030”.

Claiming that people have already witnessed Awami League’s real face, Khaleda called upon all pro-liberation, peace and democracy loving people of the country to get united ahead of the upcoming general election.
