BNP youth front Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal’s President Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal walked out on bail today while the party’s Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was denied bail.

Alal was released from Kashimpur Central Jail-1 in Gazipur around 12:40pm, said Shamsuddin Didar, a member of the BNP chief's press wing.

Recently, he secured High Court’s bail in a case for assaulting police in Dhaka’s Chawkbazar. He was charged with at least 50 various cases.

Alal was shown arrested in a case over attack on the ruling party's Netrakona-1 lawmaker, Chhabi Biswas, at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on December 24.

That was the day BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia appeared before a special court in Bakshibazar to appear for hearing in two graft cases.

On the other hand, Rizvi Ahmed was denied bail in three arson cases filed with Mohammadpur and Jatrabari police in connection with arson attacks.

Metropolitan Sessions Judge Kamrul Hasan Molla denied him bail after hearing.

The BNP leader was arrested in Baridhara on January 31 from BNP’s headquarters in Dhaka’s Nayapaltan area and was shown arrested in a dozen of cases.
